ALIVE Garden is a nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating healing, sustainability, and renewed life through plants and repurposed florals.
We partner with florists, event designers, venues, and community members to divert usable flowers and plants from waste and transform them into meaningful, community-centered experiences.
Our work focuses on creating calm, accessible spaces where people can reconnect with nature, learn sustainable practices, and experience restoration through simple, plant-based interaction.
ALIVE Garden believes that beauty should not be disposable, and that caring for living things can be a powerful pathway to emotional well-being, education, and community connection.

ALIVE Garden started with a simple question: why are beautiful, living things being thrown away used only once, when communities are craving calm, connection, and renewal?

Julia Diane Whitley - Founder of ALIVE Garden.
Julia leads the vision, partnerships, and community impact of the organization. Her work is rooted in care, sustainability, and creating spaces where people feel supported, seen, and restored.
Michael Larson - Co-Founder of ALIVE Garden.
Supports logistics, setup, and operational needs across events and garden activities.
Julia Lexx - Executive Director
Oversees creative direction, systems, and operational structure. Bridges vision with execution across programs, partnerships, and the ALIVE Garden Space.
Alyssa Cooper-Whitley - Executive Assistant
Supports operations, logistics, and operational structure.
Alexis V. Lapcheske - Project Management
Assists with volunteer coordination, outreach efforts, and community engagement.
